Use of such a site is considered cheating according to the T & C's of both Crypto sites and Stars. This is why I never make use of Poker Prophecy and the like.

If you were going to use one then I'd be wary of discussing such a thing openly on a public forum.

Nothing to stop anybody checking on results and winnings of any player on any site, if it takes their fancy - freely available, bit sad though

I'll say this.....

"PokerStars defines an "Unfair Advantage" as a User accessing or compiling information on other players beyond that which the User has personally observed through the User's own game play."
Pokerstars terms of service

Then I'll shut up.

I agree with you Tank, all Im saying is that if you were a true saddo you could crawl through all results and compile your own database

Data-mining? Not only sad, but still cheating.

The rule prohibits compiling aswell as accessing.

Although I'll confess to making notes when railing someone once.

LMAO at Poker Prophecy's stats

Player ByronKincaid
Games played 164
Percentage of time In the Money (Win) 43 (26.21 %)
Percentage of the time Out of the Money (Loss) 121 (73.79 %)
Average Ranking 24.48 (53.65)
Average Purse Amount $ 41.87
Average Purse Percentage Collected 8.99 %
Recent performance  worse

According to them this is my Stars results since October 2005. They're either only getting about 10% of my games or they're just making the figures up. And I'm 43% ITM acording to my spreadsheet!

the problem the sites have is that say that its illegal to use programs that aid a player and the site can detect if a program is being used if it is run in conjunction with pokerstars. There are however websites which give information like www.thepokerdb.com (their free site has been given the approval by pokerstars). As these sites are websites and not programs there is no way that the poker website can tell if the information is being accessed.

The poker sites say that running programs are prohibited but dont say anything about viewing websites as they cannot police it.

Have just had a look at mine and I'll go for the 'they're just making the figures up' option.
