I'm going to open a Neteller account for the first time. Should I have the currency in £ $ or €?
All advice welcomed

If you are looking to interchange between US poker accounts then definately $.
Saves on a charge everytime.
This way the only charge is when you withdraw.

Nem,
Agree with Baron $ all the way. Only site I ever found it to be a disadvantage is Ladbrokes and we all know how you feel about that. Billy hills and the UK sites might be the same, as if you play with Sterling you would have to convert twice, but if you mainstay is $ then $ it should be.
The only other thing is I can't get Netella to run through Firefox have to use IE.
Share and Enjoy.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

I always use VISA with my neteler account. I have never used switch with it. It is very quick using VISA
My account is in $ purely because my main site is pokerstars which work in dollars only
I wish I had opted for paypal now. I may be wrong but amazon and ebay don't work with neteller.

Definately get a $ Acc as some US sites dont accept the £ Acc's.
I usually deposit using Visa debit card which is instant.
Make sure you also apply for their debit card which you can use in any ATM with the Cirrus sign(which is almost every bank)
Withdrawing into Netteller from Poker stars is instant, so you can then transfer funds from Neteller acc onto card and withdraw cash within the hour.
There is a small % charge but its hardly anything.
The way the debit card works is you load up the card from your neteller acc, but be warned once you have transfered funds onto the card it is irreversable(at the moment, neteller are working on this).
Their customer service is usually 1st class too.
My account works perfectly through Firefox.
I Zimbra, I originally had a £ acc but when I realised that some US sites dont accept those I phone support and asked if I could change.
I eventually was allowed but had to cancel original acc then open up a new one but it had to be a different e mail account.
Phone them and try as they really are v good.

Maybe they are expensive if you tell the Mrs the pin number
Just checked they are free, make sure you apply for one when signing up.

get the account in $, I cant imagine how much I have lost by having the account in GBP
The debit cards are quite expensive and pretty pointless.. charges for having the card/withdrawing/transferring money from the account to the card/getting a statement etc etc. Just use your bank-card and make sure your bank-account isn't empty
AS for funding it, I just use a direct wire from my bank to my neteller account. It means I have to wait a couple of days instead of instant, but it makes everything easier

Im never been charged for having a card
The % charge on exchange is nothing for the convenience, if in US (VEGAS) there wont be any.
Statements? never had one of those

Go for $.
Ladbrokes are a pain cos they transfer the Poker $ to GBP and then Neteller do some sort of conversion - you end up losing some value that way.
I've got one of the ATM cards - it's v. handy if you need to go play a live game.
I know for a fact that you can take at least $1K from the ATM in Bellagio near the poker room per day. Much cheaper than buying $ in a travel agent.
No fees into or out of Full tilt.
Funds hit the ATM card within an hour in my experience and any UK ATM seems to work (I've used Natwest / LLoyds so far).
