Ok folks the big one is this weekend.
Whats the mortgage going on?
I have a pretty decent track record in the national I normally back 2/3 each year and I have backed 6 winners out the last 7.
My cash is already on Ebony Light e/w I would have backed Clan Royal looks a certainty after last year but the price is far too short for me.

Took Clan Royal ages ago and is a must imo. This is the only race Clan Royal has been trained for since the last National (I'm still miffed about it being taken out last time!)

I like Hedgehunter & Clan Royal, however I think for a race with 30 runners and no guarantees your horse will finish (remember Clan Royal the past 2 years - looked like the winner a furlong from home in 04 then in 05 got carried out on the last circuit). For me, the prices are far too short in such a race.
imo they are the 2 best horses in the race, I just wouldn't be comfortable taking such a short price on those 2. I have always had a bet in the National, however I am seriously considering not having a bet in this year's race.

I backed Clan Royal to win.
Ebony Light e/w.
And one random one where the name means something to me e/w as well.
I normally get a tip from a lad at work, I will have to get in contact with him and find out. He has the luck of the Irish.

Yip I was on Clan Royal last year as well but can't be having 5/1 Both Hedgehumper & Clan Royal will drift between now & race time but I'll have a closer look towards the end of the week

The trends go towards horses carrying below 11 stones(hedgehunter carried 11-1 last year but the previous 9 winners all has less than 11 stones) that have either good course form or good staying form.
My two against the field are garvivonian (20/1 with laddies)and numbersixvalverde(12/1 around)
good luck
