Top ten signs you've watched too much Star Trek

1.Your wife left you because you wanted her to dress like a Klingon and torture you for information.
2.You went to San Francisco to see of you might bump into Kirk and crew while they were in the 20th century looking for a whale.
3.Your college thesis was a comparison of the illustrious careers of T.J. Hooker and Captain Kirk.
4.You fly into a homicidal rage anytime people say, "Star Trek? Isn't that the one with Luke Skywalker?"
5.You send weekly love letters to the actress who played the green skinned Orion slave girl on episode number 7.
6.You pull the legs off your hamster so you'll have a tribble.
7.You tried to join the navy just so you could serve aboard the Enterprise.
8.You have no life.
9.You recognize more than four references on this list.
10.You join NASA, hijack a shuttle, and head for the coordinates you calculated for the planet Vulcan.

Surefire signs that Star Trek is taking over your life.
1.More than one pair of Spock ears in junk drawer.
2.Have figured out stardate system.
3.Forgetting that present-day elevators don't have voice interface.
4.Actual serious thought about buying that $300 model of the Enterprise from the Franklin Mint.
5.Saying "Make it so," in casual conversation.
6.Indignation because the periodic table dosen't include dilithium and tritanium.
7.Able to use "varible phase inverter" in a sentence without excessive thought.
8.Lecturing any science professor on how transporters work.
9.Playing fizzbin and understanding it.
10.Understanding Klingon.

I did go to school with a guy that had the full uniform. It was the orange type colour uniform that Lt. Cmdr DATA had. He had the phaser, tricorder and the full kit that DATA had. When I saw it , I thought " wow cool, how do I get one of those".  Thankfully, I saw sense and didn't buy one.

I did read the Startrek technical manual for the enterprise. My careers officer at school wasn't impressed when I told her I wanted to work on a ship like the enterprise or become a touring car racing driver. I was a kid...so that is my excuse  Cheesy

Once in bargain books, I bought a tape edition of the Klingon dictionary. I seem to remember the attractive shop assistant thinking to herself " what a weirdo this guy is " lol.  It is presented by Michael Dorn ( the guy that plays Worf ).

I also had( have ) a crush on T'pol from ENTERPRISE..

I am not a geek, honest.

I told my best friend that I'm seeded number two for a tournament, she turned round and said "Make it so".

I came very close to correcting her and had to stop.

I always had a thing for the Dr in Star Trek.

Dr Crusher that is, not Dr Bones.

and thirded !   thumbs up

My wife always managed to enter the room just at the point when T'Pol was doing that massage/meditation thing with Tucker and then would demand to know why I was blatantly watching "this porn" in the living room

My "but it's just star trek, dear" defence was to no avail!

I saw Jeri Ryan in possibly the only movie she's done - Dracula 2000 - she acted in the same fashion. could have sworn she was 7 of 9 without the borg implants.
