Recommend a laptop

My Dad is definitely a card carrying member of the Dell-haters club; His main issue with them was their shoddy support.

He had the misfortune to be buying a new Dell PC during the brief window when Windows Millennium was the OS; he experienced no end of problems with that computer, inexplicable crashes and so forth, but the main gripe was the fact that Dell Support was utterly useless, which made things so much more difficult.

They have improved unrecognisably since Millennium.

My current PC is a Dell as is my Dads, we've never had any problems but haven't needed to use thier support.

I think I'll go for the 9300 with WUXGA.

Customer support from hewlett packard is very, very good.  I would buy another laptop from them purely because of this.
