Its 3:30am, I’m sitting in a cash game with about £120 in front of me my friend has just come fourth in the tournament and has gone to cash in, I am starting to flag a little so I decide that the next couple of hands will be my last.

I am two from the button, blinds are only 1 & 2 I look down and am pleased to see a pocket pair, under the gun raises to £20 there are 4 callers, I call, SB folds, BB calls, so £120 in the pot.

Flop comes down 3 Q 8 rainbow, trip 8’s, nice!  Check, check, check, £100 bet, the guy to the right of me thinks about it and calls. I think about what I could be up against, QA, two pair or maybe trip Q’s or 3’s so I guess I could be ahead plus I am getting good pot odds so I call, the rest fold

The turn card comes down rag and is checked

The river comes down Q. I’ve hit the full house and when it is checked round to me I guess I must be ahead.

First guy shows, he’s hit trip Q’s with a J kicker. Second guy shows pocket 3,s giving him a full house.

I smile announcing bigger full house as I turn over pocket 9’s……...….9’s F’#*k

.....And the moral is.....don't play when you are tired..........or maybe.....look at your cards before calling..........but probably..... give up pocker

Ouch - that's a sore one.

Saw one the other night that was worse...

Playing in a cash game, I've AKo - raise to $25, 3 callers (it's a loose game).\

Flop K 8 7

I bet $50 - 2 callers.

turn K

$50 - 2 callers

river 3

I'm pretty sure I'm winning - there's no flush or straight showing.... Another $100 - 2 Callers.

2 of us turn over trip K's - I've got the A kicker though. Matey boy mucks.

I'm stacking up the chips & felling good when someone asks mateyboy what he had... "pocket 7's" - so he'd mucked a boat 7's over K's.

No complaints from me though  Cheesy

Playing a home game, i was also playing online at the same time.
I get dealt QQ online and make a raise everyone folds, i turn around to continue the home game and there are two Q's on the board (this is where the brain decided it was giving up) and i trapped 2 mugs all the way down with my quads. Proudly announcing quads i wondered why they looked confused seeing as they both had trips against my 2 pair.

I remember a hand in the Vic about a year ago where i masterfully played my str8 extracting the max out of a correctly read underpair. I announced str8 and proudly flipped my cards over to reveal 8 hi.....
