its a £20 satellite for the £200 freezeout at Nottingham. there are 5 seats and £180 for 6th.
average chips is about 30k so average for six left will be 40k
blinds are 1500/3000 and of the 8 remaining players there are three of us around 10k.
the three short stacks are in a row, one either side of me.
UTG (aggressive player, recently knocked out LittlemissC with A4 v AK and won a huge coinflip) bets 18500
first short stack passes
I have 7,7 and 10500
I decided with only 3.5 x BB I couldn't pass because if one or the other small stacks finds a hand and doubles up I haven't got enough chips to get into top 6. the BB will be on me in 3 hands.
however, the raiser have 55k - 60k and doesnt need to be in this hand. the best I think I can hope for is a big Ace, but if I play my 7,7 and they hold up I can sit back and wait for the other two shortstacks to go out.
I call.
shotstack to my left groans and reluctantly passes.
UTG turns over Q,Q and I dont hit a miracle
guy to my left had passed 9,9.
if I pass he calls and losses.
Blinds go through the girl to my left before me and she has a few less than me, 9k ish.
should I have passed or do I have to take a shot there?

when an aggressive player bets like that UTG it normally tells me he really wants one of the shorter stacks in before the flop and definately doesnt want to see a flop with anyone. (e.g. AK/10s-Qs) quite difficult to tag a player this way thats been on the out-draw of late i guess but i'd still fold i think. you know at best it's gonna be a coinflip.
