Not that bad a beat. He made a stop go bet which backfired but was then offered over 3:1 to call your flop reraise. Hardly the worst play in the world...

that sort of justifies to the call. the overall play of it is completely retarded though. clearly a calling station of some sort but raising with J10 suited on the bubble? c'mon. you know it's a trouble hand. chuck it in.

i wasn't really moaning about the bad beat, just the horror show that was the way he played the hand. He shows caution before the flop and still gets all his chips in with A high.

I don't think he's showing caution, i think hes trapping you pre flop. once hes made his bet i do think he can still get away from it though, maybe he had made his mind up pre flop that he wasn't passing whatever the board showed

Trapping with AK....hmmm.

As for raising JT on the bubble temp0r's post sums up why its correct, so many players rock up on the bubble.

Hmmm....

Could be seen as you being card dead and making a move to keep your head above water?

Also, if you have been tight for ages he probably thinks you are more likely to pass near the bubble with the "stop and go".

The stop bit of the "stop and go" is fine, except that surely he over-go'ed it?

May be misunderstanding this but he called the preflop raise.
Then post flop he made a good raise hoping for a fold. He probably then felt pot committed and could afford to call the all in. The odds were against him but he had a go and was lucky. That's poker.
Not sure if he deserved your Wengeresque feedback!  Cheesy

Maybe i'm missing something here, but if you make a stop and go which commits you to the pot, isn't that just bad play. I'm assuming that by not putting his chips in first on the flop that he didn't want to put his whole stack in on a bluff. If it is going to be argued that an all looks weak then surely betting 8000 is better than the 4000 he bet.
