Excellent pics.  I love ducks.  It must be great living near there.  One day, I would love to have a house where I can have a large duck pond. I have always wanted that.  Cool

I would flat call looking to flop a set or maybe raise if checked to me in position.

Thanks
thats no good, you'll be calling all night befoere you trip up.

i think that position is the most important factor in this debate.

What LOVELY pics. More please!

When I was golfing a lot, what with golf courses having a lot of ponds, it was heaven-like at this time of year, ducklings everywhere. Many was the round of golf abandoned when I spotted some ducklings.

Kedleston Park, Derby, a fine Golf Course, had hundreds of Geese, while my club, Royal Ormonde, had several pairs of swans, & plenty of sparrowhawks & kestrels. At Morley Hayes, they had a Heron - awesome!

Heron are nice birds.  Although if you have a fish pond, they can be abit of trouble.  My Dads fish pond came under attack from a Heron last year.  We got round the problem by building a wire mesh grill that fits over the pond. The Heron occasionally comes back, but he cannot find away round the problem of the grill.

I told my barber about the Heron and he warned me that they work in gangs.. " watch them son, they work together. One will hold up the wire mesh cover and the others will grab the fish".  He was serious and he isn't insane  Cheesy. I have an image in my mind of a load of ned Herons terrorising local gardens now.

Heron are nice birds.

I disagree - if you leave them just a minute too long they become very dry. Even with sauce it can ruin a good meal.......

interesting fact 1 Monkeys ar omnivourous, and actually display canablisitic tendencies.
2 Matts little dancing monkey actually appears to be a member of the lesser ape family, (not a monkey)

3  (now i don't know if this is true but was told last week) Male ducks cannot Quack, they honk or bleet,  only females Quack

Yea, you are right. I remember a bbc documentary about chimps in the wild being hunted by a gang of monkeys.

All golf clubs should have ducks.   I get so fed up only having a boring old flag to aim at. Livens the game up no end imho!

I killed a duck playing golf at the forest of Arden once, nothing to be proud of though. (the duck wasn't playing BTW)
