My father in law has run 13 london marathons, now at 54 he knows his serious marathon timing days are numbered. last year he didn't get in, over 70 VIP/celebraty places were booked and never used this year.

Even worse he was looking at a serious time this year, but 6 weeks before injured himself and had to stop running.
He still ran it this weekend but with the chance of a good time gone he dressed as a giant flower for the Antony Nolan trust, who he donated bone marrow to (very painful im told) and saved a young girls life.

He ran 4hrs 20 mins (in fancy dress) whilst injured. travelling back through london on the tube with his medals and clearly having run a marathon and in considerable pain, people still had to arseheadness to push past him to take seats on the tube forcing him to stand for 40 mins.

People like him make the london marathon what it is, a test of the physical and mental limits of an individual,(something the jade Goodies of this world should consider before signing on the line)

Don t think its too late to sponser him BTW, let me know if you do.

i agree - all that free publicity about some half famous woman who cant hold things together, its the first time the London marathon has been sprawled over front and back page since..........

I heard that she'd received whispers going around the course that there was a "rio ferdinand" style drugs test awaiting her at the finish line so she was attempting to dispose of the evidence.......

I am currently invloved in the filming for sky for jades salon - lovely girl - doesn't prepare for anything, never on time, but she has a very good head on her shoulders believe it or not, (with a good manager) she knows how to time her publicity to the second.

I think she is very clever - you may not like her (which I didnt) but once I met her I had a new found respect for her - never thought I would say that!  In real life she is much prettier than in the papers/mags and she can put a dishcloth on and it looks good.

She may not appear to have a good business head but she has a good business in her beauty salon. Not surprised to hear she didn;t finish but to get as far as she did was amazing - although I immediately thought she must have hopped on a bus!

Have to say I know shes a bit of an airhead, but she's sweet and shes done better than the other BB contestants so good on her.

I'm sure that even though she didn't finish the marathon money will still go to her supported charity

Can't believe she was only 5 miles off the finish line Smiley
