This reminds me of the 2002 WCOOP suprsat I played for the $1000 event. I got heads up with a guy who wanted the $910 for second I wanted it as well as I was constantly being disconnected during the satellite (this was in the days when I had dial up). We both sat out. I pointed out after 30 minutes of the blinds passing back and forth that in time I'd be the first to ante out. Other player agreed to go to a cash table to give me $107 to win seat so I made $1050 seat plus $107 Smiley which I sold for $1000 any way Smiley

Funnily enough a few weeks later I got an email from PokerStars security:

 Hello Simon,

I noticed that on July 24, 2002 you played Omaha Pot Limit ($0.25/$0.50)
hands with "FABERGE" ( ie. hands # 17116992, 17117136, 17117197, 17117264,
17117327, 17117412) and received $107.00 from him.

I would assume that this was some innocent borrowing of chips, however we do
not permit chip dumping at the tables. If you require to transfer money to
another player this has to be done via email request to support. Such
request should include your full name and address and the explanation for
the transfer.

I would appreciate an explanation.

My reply:

I was playing in Tourny #3284. This was a satellite for the $1000 NLHE final
of wcoop.

Myself and FABERGE were heads up. The winner would take the seat, the runner
up $910. FABERGE was in a massive chip lead and didnt want the seat. I
wasn't too keen on the seat as I have been having connectivity problems.
Anyway in chat FABERGE offered me $110 to win the seat so he could have
cash.

Luckily they accepted this and didnt freeze my account Smiley

Sometimes i would take the cash.....12000 for 2nd or 125000 package i take 12k.

However 3.5k or 2.5k+WPT seat, its madness not to take the seat.
