It's odd how some people react to rollercoasters, i am terrified of the bleeding things, you couldn't drag me onto one of them and yet i've done things that theoretically should be much more scary yet not batted an eyelid Huh?

totally agree, as a youth I loved em, then as I got older they now scare the pants off me. I used to do alot of Rock climbing but now I have trouble getting up a ladder to clean out the gutters.

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life.
Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft?
Of course not.

Keep good track of Henning Granstad plz.. Lot of Norwegians will follow him on your site..  Cheesy Wink

They will! Henning is a good friend of blonde, Jen, sloppy & myself. I sat to his immediate right for a goodly while yesterday, he is SOME player, & we have had many great battles in the last few years. But it was an unequal battle yesterday, he was chipped up to the nines, & impossible for me to take on in the Blinds unless I had a proper hand.

GREAT player.

Thanks to tikay for tiding us over... Play actually started 15 minutes ago, but lucky for us there's been little or no big action.  Except for Paul Parker, who has recently become OUT thanks to his which ran into ... The ten flopped for him, but the turn brought a Jack so we're down to 27.

That's actually it, so far.  Thank goodness.

I'm not going to lie to you, we were on The Pepsi Max Big One, which despite the turn in the weather to the grey had developed quite a queue.  I stand by that executive decision not to bail out.  Wink

Hi all, Jen was petrified by that rollercoaster. I think she's okay now though, I assured her she'd be fine... and I was right. She just need confirmation from a man.

Meanwhile, Rory Matthews has just doubled up off Johnny Hewston and now has around 65k.

Excellent - so we can look forward to Jen & sloppy becoming true blondes then - that was the deal, as I recall.

Just to clarify...

There are 27 players remaining, with blinds at 800-1600, and an average stack of 58,500. We have 30 minutes left at this level.

How about this for a hand?? Amazing stuff.

2 players move all-in.

Joe Grech gets out the way with his pocket sevens, whilst Martyn Cavanagh mucks tens.

The two players involved are Carl Thomas and Gareth 'The Nugget' Jones.

Carl had nines, and Gareth had kings.

So, we've got kings v nines, with sevens and tens mucked.

Therefore, with this being the bizarre world of poker, the board can only be something like...

three diamonds

Gareth takes a massive pot with trip kings over Carl's trip nines. But Joe would have been the biggest winner with quads on the river.

Blimey.

As Jimmy Greaves once said...

"It's a funny ol' game."

Too late for Johnny I'm afraid.

Hewston we have a problem.

Julian Thew raises under the gun, Paul Johnstone reraises, and Texas moves all-in. Julian folds, but Paul calls.

Johnstone = K-K, Hewston = A-K

No help and Hewston is OUT.
