1. The Gaming Board have told me that any person who holds a licence cannot play poker in the club. The "licenced" people in the club will be the Complaince Officer (white licence), Card Room Managers (Grey Licence), Final table Dealers (Red Licence). Technically this means that dealers who do not deal the final table in comps will be allowed to play, but this does not mean we will alllow it, as clearly may not look good, we'll have to see.

The Irish Open was the best event in Europe that I have been to and we have learnt a lot from it for DTD. I loved the way that Paddy Power added money to all of the festival events and to play in an arena with 35 full tables was fantastic. The atmosphere was great and I made sure I told the organisers what a good tournamenet they had put on.

Okay, TK has assured me that he doesn't mind me continuing this thread. I've signed up with the Blondepoker card room and will only be playing on this for the time being, I am one of the biggest rakers on cryptologic so this should generate a few quid for BP in the short term.

[32] Day 111 - 113

Days 111, 112 and 113 - I was most happical with the way Saturday panned out, we made a grand for P4C and it all ended with a bit of drama.

[31] Day 109 - 110

Day 109 - How am I going to play 240 STTs in 24 hours I hear you ask.
My first thought was 4 batches of 60.

I had a dry run of 60 tournaments without a break in preperation for Saturdays Sega mega-drive. It took me 5 hours and 35 minutes from when I registered for tournament number one to when I concluded tournament number sixty. During the night, tournaments fill up faster than during the afternoon. It would take me longer than that to complete 60 tournaments justnow (10am) as it will on Saturday morning/afternoon.

So I think the way to go is 3 batches of 80 tournaments without interruption. In between batch one and two I'll have 15 minutes or so to stretch my legs, attend to bodily functions etc. and I'll have a similar break in between batches two and three. Even then it'll probably be a close shave, if it was too easy there wouldn't be much point though.  Cool

I can confirm that a batch of 60 without interruption is very difficult. Three back to back batches of 80 will be nigh-on impossible. That's exactly what I'm attempting though.

I won't be able to do it without your encouragement and you can do just that by pledging your support. With 40 people pledging 10p a tournament (£24) we can raise around £1000 towards Poker4Charity. If that happens, I'll be donating every single cent I make on the tables that day. At a modest 5% ROI that'll be an extra $720 for the cause. If I hit 8.5% then thats another $1,224 for the charity. The weekend games are a cinch, so this is very possible.

Day 109 Results : +$657 (+$16,990 total)
ROI : 8.5%
RDR : 64.2 (11 overs left)

The response thus far has been very encouraging. I only announced it late last night and already we've had many peeps pledging their support. Thanks very much to all of them.

We've had fun on this thread, it's been some ride.
Now is our chance to do some good. Who's with me?

If you like the thread, you'll love Saturday. I need all your help though. If you don't wish to publicly post your pledge, you can pm me.
It doesn't have to be 10p per tournament, every little helps.

Sofa  up for this  Cool

[30] Day 104 - 108

Days 104 and 105 - Riot police are facing off against a miffed-up bunch of anarchists. The young punks are hurling all kinds of abuse at the Rozzers in an attempt to give 'em a case of the willys. The Fuzz are trained to just stare at the unruly mob and not say a single word, under any circumstances. Sometimes, there can be nothing more intimidating than silence. More often than not, it's the rioters, and not the police, who end up getting spooked.

People have a go at me quite a lot in the safety of the ol' pokerroom chatty box, and most of it I miss. That's probably for the best, I've never been one to keep my mouth shut at the best of times. Saying absolutely nothing probably gets their goat more than anything else.

Looking through some hand historys, I noticed that one chappy announced "I'll call you next time out of spite moron" after I raised his blind for the 3rd consecutive time, just off the money.
He must not have been best pleased when I raised it the next 3 rounds aswell.  Cool
He folded all 3 times (good), had I typed some lame retort such as "Oooooh, I've wet me keks big boy"  then I'm guessing he probably would have called (not so good).

I played 60ish each day, so on track for the final fortnight.

Silo asked if I was still enjoying it. I think I definately am.
Not so much because of the winning, but because I've always derived a certain job satisfaction from doing something well. (Or at least believing I'm doing it well)
Also, I get a kind of perverse kick from frustrating my opponents when I bubble-bully them (on the odd occasions when I've muffed my way into a chip lead)
That'll never leave me, I must have a raising fetish.

Days 104 and 105 Results : +$876 (+$15,847 total)
ROI : 8.2% (after 3,186 tournaments)
RDR : 62.6 (13 overs remaining)

Two whole days off now, FANK THUCK.
I'm going away up North to see the family at Easter.

Wishing y'all a good weekend whatever it is you're doing.

[29] Day 100 - 103

Days 100 and 101 - When you're spending every night of the month sitting in front of your pc playing zillions of internet poker tournaments, it's the little things that keep you going.

[28] Day 96 - 99

Days 96, 97 and 98 (and 99?) - As you know by now, I ply my trade very late at night. Day 1 was the 1st of January, but being mostly after midnight, was really the 2nd. My "Day" finishes at noon the next morning.
