The Grosvenor GUKPT have been performing well on that front all year, as have the monthly £300 events at Walsall, not to mention the up and coming blondepoker Winter Festival in Waterford, but few events compare to the latest Green Joker Poker Festival in Drogheda, Ireland.Fresh off the unquestioned success of the Summer event, of which was won by blonde poker’s own update-come-player extraordinaire Jen Mason, Mike Lacey (left) and the GJP boys are back once again to offer you what is guaranteed to be one of 2008’s most prestigious events, the European Deepstack Poker Championships.
With the €1,500 Main Event dishing out 50k in chips (yes, you heard right), this outing won’t be for the faint at heart, and if you hit the deck within the first level, you’ll only have yourself to blame.
Held in the Drogheda Poker Club in, yep, you guessed it, Drogheda, this is a rare opportunity to experience deep stacked poker at a reasonable price. But if the buy-in is out of your range, then don’t fret, as blonde poker are offering several satellite opportunities meaning you can qualify for as little as 3 bucks!Daily feeders to the weekly satellite are available at 8.30pm ($15+1.50 rebuy) and 10pm ($30+3 freezeout) with a further speed feeder into the aforementioned freezout available each day at 12pm and 2pm. Survive them, and then you have one final hurdle to jump, the $250+20 No Limit Hold’Em freezeout every Sunday at 9.30pm.
