London, November 15th: The APAT Poker Association and Tour today announced details of a new event, the APAT OnLive Amateur Championship. The event is a unique concept that will be played across onlive and live card-rooms before drawing APAT's highly successful first season to a close.

The Online stage will be played via headline sponsor Blue Square on December 2nd at 2.30pm, and will see APAT's members receive 10,000 chips and a 15 minute clock for a $100 + $10 buy-in.

The final six players will conclude the event at a live final table to take place on December 15th at the Grosvenor London Victoria Casino. The winner will take home a significant first prize, a Championship Cup, Gold Medal and an expenses paid entry to the WSOP Main Event 2008, worth over $12,000.

Uniquely the six finalists will start the live final table with the same chip-stack they held at the completion of the Online stage.
