The general consensus was that the last Virgin Festival was a roaring success with players and the poker industry alike inundating us with positive feedback for the concept and execution of the event. With this in mind, it is of no surprise to see that the Festival will be making a much anticipated return in 2008 to be staged on the 12th-13th April.
As before, the Virgin Festival will remain a fun, quirky and affordable event targeted at medium rollers. Like last time, you can be a part of what we believe will be the future of poker.
Unlike many events, players cannot buy directly into the Virgin Festival and instead will be obliged to qualify online. To achieve this, all you have to do is boot up the Virgin software and take a stab at one of the many satellites on offer, with prices available for all bankrolls.
The first satellite will be on the Virgin Poker software and will be a €30+3 No Limit Hold’Em Freezeout. The blind levels will be 12 minutes long and the comp will commence at 8.15pm on 21st January.
Due to their popularity last time round, Virgin are also giving blonde poker exlusive satellites for the Festival. How many satellites there will be very much depends on their popularity, so keep an eye on the blonde poker cardroom for any additions.
We already have one qualifier, Dave 'IndigoGB' Young who won the last Festival scooping a juicy £6,800, and you could be next? So make sure you hop onto Virgin Poker to win your entry into the 2008 Virgin Festival. Good luck!
