blondepedia has been live for a full year now, and as such, we felt it right to celebrate that achievement by marking its presence on the blondepoker homepage. As a new mini-feature, every couple of weeks, we shall be randomly selecting two players from blondepedia and publishing their bios here. First up this week are Ross Boatman and Harry Briggs.
To read more of the bios on offer, or to view the thousands of images on display, be sure to visit www.blondepedia.com. If you would like to contribute to the database, whether that be submitting a bio, stating nationalities or even correcting a mistake, then simply contact us at blondepedia@gmail.com or select 'contribution' from the blondepedia menu and type your contribution into the space provided.
Ross Boatman
The Rockier, less barmy brother of Barny, former pseudo firefighter Ross is one of four Hendon Mob members who set both the live and online world alight during the late nineties and early 2000s with their Late Night Poker appearances and creation of the highly successful hendonmob website.
Now a fully-fledged member of the ever-expanding Full Tilt crew, former thespian Ross interrupted a successful acting career to become a full time poker professional and take the circuit by storm by cashing in endless tournaments worldwide. Although possessing many first place finishes, Ross' most lucrative payday came at the 2006 EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo where he finished 6th for 140,000 Euros.
Whilst winning his millions at the felt, Ross hasn't brushed his favoured passion completely to one side, appearing in TV shows 'A Touch of Frost' and 'The Bill' before utilising his Cockney roots in big screen flick 'Hard Men'.
Introduced to the game by Boatman the elder, Ross turned professional in 1992 and has been playing ever since. Married with one son, Ross is one of the most multi-talented and respected figures in poker and undoubtedly a credit to the game.

Harry Briggs
As a retired grandfather from Lancashire, one could expect Harry Briggs to be donning his carpet slippers and sucking on a Werther’s Original, but not so for this sharp-minded veteran, who has brushed aside the stereotypes of later life in favour of the green of the baize and the sound of riffling chips.
Like son, Mark, Harry is passionate about the game and can often be found sat in front of his computer playing the low to medium stake MTTs on the Crytologic network. When not ambushing the virtual felt, Harry has been known to make occasional appearances in Bolton and Blackpool, but his most thrilling visit to the live felt was in the Summer of 2007 when he qualified for the WSOP Main Event via Mansion Poker for just $10! Although his clever, calculated style and broad understanding of game theory and maths helped him survive the opening day, Harry finally met his demise late in Day 2, finishing painfully short of the money.
Lured into the game after witnessing his son qualify for the 2005 WSOP Main Event, Harry’s other interests include fishing, keeping fit and spending time looking after his grandchildren.
