With Ireland becoming a hotbed of poker festivity, it's no wonder we have another Irish based event to look forward to this October. Whilst Dublin and Waterford have already played host to a number of events this year, it's time for the new breed to take over, with the picturesque city of Killarney looking to become the next 'poker city' of Ireland.

The event this time around is the much anticipated Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival, and is braced to attract up to 800 of Europe's leading poker aficionados to the Glenegles INEC hotel. The festival itself will involve a number of events, with the side action including a €300 no limit Hold'em freezeout on Saturday 4th October and a €170 no-limit Hold'Em freezeout game on Sunday 5th October. At €500 buy-in, the main event (3rd-5th October) looks to cater for a range of different sized wallets, and is sure to lure both pros and amateurs alike to the felt.

If however, €500 is a little steep for your current bankroll, or the wife has been prodding you for a holiday to Cornwall instead, then don't fear, as Ladbrokes have set up a number of different paths to making it over to Ireland. As such, players can qualify for the event in three ways:

Qualify Online at Ladbrokespoker.com for a $1,250 Package

Every Monday at 7.30pm (GMT) players can enter the $137.50 weekly final with one package for every $1,250 in the prize pool. The package includes the main event buy-in, and two nights B&B for two people at the Gleneagle Hotel.

There are regular satellites into the daily final for as little as $5 and the daily finals, which feed into the weekly final, have a $33 buy-in and are held between Tuesday and Sunday at 7.30pm GMT.

Pre-Register for Main Event

Players can pre-register for the €550 main event online 24/7 at Ladbrokespoker.com – just visit the MTT section of the lobby and go to offline events and click on the Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival tab.

Full details of the festival can be found at www.ladbrokespoker.com/killarneyfestival and information on the latest satellites can be found in the lobby under MTT/Offline Events/Ladbrokes Irish Festival.

The Festival will also provide players with a wide variety of STTs and Ladbrokes will help them relax in the Ladbrokes Poker Lounge which will host a games room with snooker, pool, darts, and other activities for all players to enjoy.

So, if you fancy a pop at this event, be sure to save up the wonga for the buy-in start ambushing those satellite tables. Either way, we'll see you at the tables. Good luck!
