
The 30-minute shows take four losing poker players and gives them an intensive month of training by the Devilfish. Each week one of Devilfish’s novices is eliminated and at the end of the series the winner receives a seat at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
The show is sure to be a gem with the Devilfish teaching his students a variety of skills, including how to avoid going on tilt. Also, the Devilfish will try to prove how dangerous it is to play poker while drunk as the contestants drink and play under controlled supervision.
Ulliott is the UK’s most successful all-time tournament poker player with millions of dollars of winnings under his belt as well as WSOP and World Poker Tour titles to his name. A former safe-cracker from Hull, Devilfish started out as a cash player before turning to tournaments in 1993. He now boasts tournament winnings in excess of $5,000,000
The series is produced by John Giwa-Amu and Caradog James of Red & Black Films who are building on their seven years industry experience and BAFTA success with one of the most innovative poker TV shows ever produced. 'How to Become a Poker Millionaire' airs each Thursday on ITV Wales at 10.35pm.
