Last week in the latest EPT event in Copenhagen Jens Kyllonen was the latest to win a PokerStars European Poker Tour title
Kyllonen, a 19-year-old from Helsinki, Finland and beat 462 players (276 of the entries were Nordic players) in the EPT Scandinavian Open main event. Kyllonen turned pro just one year ago won the 6,541,920 DKK ($1.1 million USD) first-place prize.
Kyllonen beat Sweden's Peter Hedlund in heads-up play. Hedlund, an familiar face on the EPT, would take home over $640,000 as runner-up. While last year's Copenhagen final table was a 14-hour marathon, Kyllonen won this finalin just five hours.
"I really like the EPT atmosphere and I'm planning to play the rest of the events this season," Kyllonen told the PokerStars blog "I'm pretty happy with the way I played here, although I was lucky with some coin flips as well. I don't think it has really sunk in what I have done yet, but I feel pretty great."
