The Grosvenor Victoria Casino is hosting the European Championships festival between the 16th - 29th of September. The two-week festival takes place just before the London EPT, which this year will be taking place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, just a short walk from the Vic. The festival includes £1,000 and £1,500 NL Hold'em freezeouts plus several satellite tournaments for the EPT main event. All events except the super satellites are two-day tournaments and will start at 4pm. The festival concludes on the 29th September with a £2,500 super satellite to the £20,000 high roller event, which kick-starts the EPT festival at the Metropole on September 30th.
Martin Ramskill, the General Manager of the Victoria casino comments
"The EPT has grown significantly over the last few years, to the extent that we do not have enough floor space in the casino space to accommodate the 800+ players who are expected to take part. By moving the main event to the Metropole we are able to increase the capacity to close to 1,000 players over two starting days. Cash games however will not be available at the hotel, but we are devoting the entire card room at the Vic to cash games while the main event takes place and there will be courtesy cars available to transport players between the two venues. With the WSOPE also taking place during this week, London is going to be the centre of the poker world once again and we are expecting a lot of high stakes cash games to take place here at the Vic."
