David Bryan wins the first Leg of the 2009-10 Sky Poker Tour

David "David36" Bryan won the first leg of the 2009-10 Sky Poker Tour at Manchester's G Casino on Saturday 7th November, beating Daniel "dantb10" Brown, who cashed in the 2009 as a member of Team SkyPoker, into second place. David beat 149 other players to the first prize of £4,000 and also wins a seat into next September's SPT Grand final at DTD.

After twelve hours of play culminating in an exciting Heads-Up duel where the advantage swung towards both players Bryan, who was roared on by friends and family, was dealt Pocket Nines which hit a set on the flop to seal the victory over Brown.

Other finalists included Mike "Maggiesdad" Quinlan who represented SkyPoker in the 2008 WSOP, top ranked professional snooker player Ryan Day and, playing in his first ever live event, Craig "OnlyOneCT" Tranter.

The event throughout was played in a superb atmosphere and players can qualify to participate in Leg 2 at Aspers Casino in Newcastle on 9th January 2010 via satellites on www.skypoker.com which begin shortly. Please see the Sky Poker Lobby for details.
