David "daveyzz" Marley defeated 149 opponents to win SPT Glasgow at the Alea Casino at the weekend and record a remarkable second SPT victory in the current season following his win at Newcastle in January. In a battle of Sky Poker big-hitters Davey defeated Sky Poker Total Player winner and Vegas bound Dan "dantb10" Brown Heads Up to secure the £4,000 first prize. In the final hand Daveyzz who had begun the Heads Up play with a commanding chip lead took Ace-Six against Dantb10's pair of Two's. A 3-3-Q flop was innocuous for Dan but a Queen on the turn counterfeited his Pair and gave Daveyzz the victory, achieved after twelve hours total play.

Boba Fett had reached the final table a big chip leader but ran Ace-Queen into Pocket Kings twice early in the final, the Pocket Kings held by Dantb10 and Daveyzz, these confrontations setting up their eventual top two finishes.
Amongst the other runners Sky Presenters Richard Orford and James Hartigan both had days to forget in the Min event, exiting early, which allowed them to enjoy the variety of side games on offer for the Sky Poker community on the day.
