In a story followed on the blonde Poker forum and elsewhere following the WPT London in September, it has been revealed on http://www.gutshot.com/news that the owners of the Palm Beach Casino, Genting, have agreed to repay considerable sums to both WPT players and dealers following complaints after the event about an additional 4% deduction (on top of the £300 registration fee) from the prize pool levied by the organisers.
The blonde Poker thread concerning the issue, including contributions from casino management and upset dealers of the event can be seen at:

Whilst this represents a nice windfall for cashers in the event, including winner Jake Cody, this especially represents a considerable result particularly for the event dealer posting on blonde Poker and other forums who took his case to the organisers, who investigated and agreed that he had a valid case.
It is unclear as yet the actual sums involved in the repayment, and whether such repayments apply to the other two WPT events, including the WPT High Roller, which also carried the additional levy.
Assuming the repayments do conclude satisfactorily credit must also be given to Genting for acting so promptly in these circumstances.
