Richard Sinclair became the first Scotsman to take down a UKIPT last night. He went into the final table as chip leader and maintained that position to beat Raj Verma to the win.Sinclair won £67,000 for the title
The champion modestly paid tribute to his heads up opponent Verma, who came into the final 2nd in chips, but was crippled early by a bad beat when his kings were outdrawn by jacks, only to mount a huge comeback to get heads up. "I think Raj played the best at the final table, especially to come back from the beat he took, but I got the right cards at the time."
