The young and increasingly renowned American Shannon Shorr has just become the youngest player in WSOP circuit history to not only reach a final table, but to also make back-to-back finals.
At just 21 years of age, this online prodigy from Alabama broke the record in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, the latest stop on the WSOP circuit tour.
His first appearance was in a No Limit Event to which he finished in the runner-up spot, and then, on the very next day, he backed up his fine performance with a third place finish in another No Limit Event, giving him a total of $40,000 in winnings. Not a huge amount in today's game and certainly not in comparison to the quarter of a million he won in Australia, but one which comes with the added bonus of being a record-breaker.
