After the undeniable success of the circuit's last visit to Bolton, barring the slight delay caused by a certain footie game, it will be of no surprise to anyone to hear that the UK circuit is heading back up to sunny Bolton in anticipation of another cracking weekend of poker festivities.
Last time I made the trip, blonde's own Steve 'Card Shark' Read was the last man standing, reigning supreme in the well received Poker6 competition - let's hope that there is a repeat performance with a blondeite once again taking top honours.
Don't be fooled by the less than exotic location, Bolton is a fun place to play - friendly staff, a good crowd of players, and what I am reliably informed is the biggest Grosvenor Casino in England. Please, hold your excitement! Oh, and before I forget, I seem to recall the taxi driver claiming that Bolton was the largest town in the UK - whether this is true or not, I'm unsure, but, for all you geeks out there, feast your eyes on these innocuous facts about Bolton:
(i) The town rose to prominence during the 19th century as a Mill Town.
(ii) Bolton is twinned with Le Mans in France.
(iii) Bolton is the birthplace of the Reebok brand.

Pointless trivia aside, rumour has it that a certain update team may be lurking in the shadows of the Grosvenor Casino in Bolton at some point this week, quietly scribbling away on their notepads as the action unfolds... so watch this space!
