As of Friday 1st September, Dave 'elbondie' Colclough's 20 month relationship with blondepoker.com has come to an end, with the two bodies parting ways.
Although Dave will be holding on to his shares, he will merely be a sleeping partner, with his name no longer directly associated with what has become a fantastic online community.
The good news is that Dave's departure was an amicable one, with the stress of the job, a wish to focus on his playing career and the emergence of potential sponsorship deals being major factors.
His logic is perfectly sound and, seeing as he is first and foremost a poker player, none of us here at blonde can question his decision. Instead, we can only wish Dave the very best of luck in the future and hope that he returns to winning ways.
With regards to the future, don't fret - blonde won't be going anywhere.
Whilst Dave's departure is a sad one, it does not mean that Blondepoker Web Ltd will cease to be - instead, we will try to make this place bigger and better than ever, with the Main Site, Forum, and Online Cardroom all remaining in tact.
On what has been a rather hectic few days, I shall leave you with the words of Tony Kendall...
"It just remains to thank Dave. This is, I think, a wonderful and unique place, and without Dave, it would never have started. So it's very sad indeed, to me, that he's not able to stay on board the Management Team, but as I said earlier, he's retaining his Shares, so maybe he'll rejoin us at some stage. Let's hope so. "
