All That Glitters Is Not Gold's

As you may recall, a recent news item on blonde (which can be found by clicking here) reported the monetary feud between WSOP 2006 winner, Jamie Gold, and television development executive, Bruce Crispin Leyser in which the latter claims Gold had agreed to a 50% deal of any Main Event winnings, yet ultimately failed to pay.

And, in a stunning update, the lawyers of the two parties have agreed to an injunction temporarily freezing half of Gold's winnings, a massive 6 million dollars. Of course, this means that until the case is cleared up, this sum will remain untouchable.

Whilst Leyser remains adamant that a deal was struck and that he kept his end of the bargain, Gold and his lawyers are keeping understandably stum, releasing very little to the press in terms of clear explanations of the current situation and continually declining opportunities to pass comment.

Watch this space for any further updates on what has become a quite remarkable case.
