An expected consequence to the recent passing by Congress of the 'Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act' was the inevitable decrease in value of online gaming shares. And, as predicted, the online giants have suffered such a blow.
Whilst Party Gaming witnessed shares drop by 59%, 888 Holdings have endured a 45% decrease in stock value. And the legislation hasn't just affected the gaming companies either, as major payment operators, Neteller, are down by 57%.
