Fresh off hosting their highly successfull Full Tilt European Poker Masters, the Sporting Emporium in Dublin are now set to stage their Christmas Cracker festival, due to commence on Saturday 9th December.

Although both the Rendezvous in Brighton and the Grosvenor in Luton are holding similarly titled events, the Irish version is surely also worth a look. With €5,000 added to the prize pool and the registration fee (€50) paid by paddypowerpoker.com this €500 freezeout represents the best value tournament in Ireland this holiday season with an estimated prize pool of €65,000.

Players can buy directly into the event by contacting the Sporting Emporium (registration opens at noon on Saturday 9 December – tournament begins at 2pm) or can qualify through satellites at paddypowerpoker.com

And if you can't get hold of a computer or simply fancy fighting your way into the tournament via a face to face confrontation, then you may prefer to take on the live satellite on offer. But be quick, as the final chance is fast approaching, December 5th being the date to keep a close eye on.

Last year, the event was hailed by many as the best one-day tournament in Ireland and attracted Irish professionals such as Andy Black, Liam Flood, Padraig Parkinson, Scott Gray and Rory Liffey as well as celebrities such as Ken Doherty and comedian Tommy Tiernan.

With 45 min levels and an 8,000 starting stack, the Christmas Cracker will reward the best players and encourage plenty of poker. Capacity is limited to 120 players and demand for this seasonal will be high.

So, if you fancy combining a trip to the jovial city of Dublin with a fantastic chance to play some top notch poker, then make sure you consider the Sporting Emporium when deciding upon which Christmas Cracker to attend.
