A Cracking Christmas

Well, it certainly will be a cracking Christmas for a several players, a few of which are blondeites.

As many of you will already be aware, this week saw the Christmas Cracker kick off in Luton, more specifically, the Grosvenor Casino.

Located so close to London, Luton is undoubtedly a popular place to play, with their festivals, and in particular this one, frequently becoming sell-outs.

With just 90 players allowed per event (due to it being xmas), the prize pools on offer weren't quite as eye wateringly lucrative as usual, but they were still worth playing for.

One blondeite who took on that challenge was Jim '77Dave' McShane, a local player who can often been found lurking around the Luton cardroom. A regular at both the tournament and cash tables, Dave was due a big win, and it certainly turned out nice for him when he took down the £200 No Limit Hold'Em Freezeout. No deals meant that the official result was as follows:

1st  Jim Mcshane -- £7,200
2nd  Daniel Deluca -- £4,000
3rd  Chris Eddleman -- £2,700
4th  Edward Kim -- £1,900
5th  Arshad Hussain -- £1,400
6th  Jeffrey Rogers -- £900
7th  David Colcough -- £800
8th  George White -- £700
9th  Giovanni Vaccarella -- £600

A few familiar names in there (El blondie, mad m3), but yet another popular face on the ciruit would cash on Day 2...

With the £200 Pot Limit Hold'Em Event also drawing a capacity crowd, it was young hotshot JP Kelly who added to his recent Moneymakee Millionaire 5th place finish as he ended the night top dog, taking home yet another 4 figure prize.

And, on Thursday, the play turned to Omaha. But although the game changed, we still had the regulars showing the visitors the way as another local hero, Justin Turner, fended off 62 other players to take home the £4,400 first prize.

1st  Justin Turner -- £4,400
2nd  David A Colton -- £2,500
3rd  Anon -- £1,700
4th  Ryan Bromham -- £1,200
5th  Paul Martin -- £900
6th  Michele Dargenio -- £600
7th  Nicholas Haynes -- £500
8th  Ambro Morreale -- £400
9th  Jeffery Buffenbarger -- £400

So, well done to all those players, but a big good luck to our blonde representatives in the weekend's Main Event. Play is already underway and the drama has already heated up. Be sure you catch all the action as it happens by following our blonde live updates.

ta ta for now.
