Buckle up your seatbelts poker fans because Sky Sports are taking us into the New Year with a bang, commencing 2007 with Europe’s biggest ever game of televised high stakes poker.

Due to kick off on Tuesday 2nd January at 10pm on Sky Sports 2, the show will run a series of four broadcasts throughout the month climaxing with their final episode on the 23rd.

As with the popular American show, High Stakes Poker, the programme won’t be void of big ‘names’ with a whole host of stars already mixing it up at the felt. Presented by Emblaze Productions and sponsored by online heavyweights, Full Tilt, ‘Million Dollar Cash Game’ will include the likes of Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, Howard Lederer, Erik Seidel, Jennifer Harman, Tony G, John Juanda, Mike Matusow and Chris Ferguson, not to mention popular Brits Roland de Wolfe and fellow Brummie Marc ‘Mr Cool’ Goodwin.

James Hopkins, Director of Emblaze Productions, said: “This is a hugely exciting series featuring the biggest names in world poker, and guaranteed thrilling viewing. With millions of dollars being staked, this is the first high stakes cash game to be produced and televised in Europe promising something new for poker fans.”

With a $100,000 minimum sit-down and a cast of true poker giants, this is sure to be a memorable spectacle and there will undoubtedly be an electric atmosphere at the exclusive club Fifty in London.
