I recently joined the Loose Cannon Club in central London (Cannon St. Station providing the nearest landmark, transport hub and, presumably, name inspiration) and found a hugely atmospheric yellow brick vaulted poker room with a very pleasant looking bar/cafe attached to it. While enjoying a quiet start, they are looking to 2007 to pick up the pace and variety of games on offer, while sticking with their innovative juice-free approach. So what's in store for the New Year? Well, opening on more days per week, for a start, now Mon-Fri, and several interesting incentives such as a tourney league with the prize being a trip to Vegas to play in a WSOP event, and a "$10,000 freeroll celebrity launch on Friday 19th January."
