The 3rd and 4th of March sees a return of Grosvenor Stoke’s £300 No Limit Hold'Em freezeout complete with the same much-praised structure as last time. This includes 8k starting chips, a 45-minute clock and inclusions of the 75/150, 150/300 and 500/1,000 levels as well as a brunch and evening buffet. Unfortunately, last time, it received an undeserved 16 runners and with a set-up that is arguably better than Walsall’s hugely popular monthly £300er, should hopefully see a lot more this time.
The structure will be as follows:

Play will resume on Sunday 4th at 3pm
Having played the first, in the exalted company of Red-Dog, Chili, Lawrence Gosney and er... tikay, I had a great time playing the last one. Although we only had two tables of players, it became a jovial home game of sorts with lots of enjoyable banter, complete with very professional staff and valets.
Eventually, I finished 3rd when my Pocket Deuces were cruelly outdrawn by Sir Kendall’s Q-Q who went on to chop heads-up with one of the locals. If the fact that the pair of us both managed to cash in the last one isn’t a big enough incentive for the rest of you to come and have a taste of this gorgeously structured competition then I don’t know what is.
(Hopefully I won’t lose my car keys this time and be forced to phone up irate parents at 3am.)
