With the focus being on the word 'fun', the WPS Tour looks set to embrace the phrase 'sun, sea and poker' by introducing their Caribbean Poker Cruise. Set to set sail this April, players will enjoy a broad selection of different events ranging from $150 freezeouts to the $2,500 Main Event, and all without the miserable weather of gloomy England!
And then, in May, the WPS will be following their Caribbean Poker Cruise up with a similarly sunny experience in the Bahamas, where players will enjoy 10 days in the beautiful unadulterated sunshine of one of the most beautiful countries in the world, a cocktail in one hand and a couple of cards in the other.
As Herb Van Dyke of the WPS says: "When we came up with the concept of the WPS, we saw a void that needed to be filled for more affordable and fun tournaments. We wanted to do something different than what was being done with all the mega poker tournaments that have sprouted up all around the world. So we created WPS to be affordable poker fun and sun for poker fans. Professional, but fun."
