Dusk Till Dawn sponsored player and renowned blondiete, Dave 'El Blondie' Colclough, has won the 4th event in the GUKPT tour. Starting off the day with nearly 1/3 of the chips in play, he won the crucial races at the right times to take down the £88,300 first prize and continue what has become a significant return to form.

285 runners entered the G Casino in Manchester, including inaugural winner Praz Bansi and EPT London Champ Vicky Coren, the former being knocked out early on and making a headlong dash to go and play in the WPT Grand Final at the Bellagio within 24 hours of his Manchester exit.

Entering the final table, Dave and Sheffield's Barry Neville held nearly 60% of the chips between them and were destined to finish heads-up. Victor Kaye, Greek Jack and Chris Bruce finished in 9th, 8th and 7th respectively, Dave knocking out the latter two, before Barry Neville eliminated Richard Ashby in 6th. Ryan Fronda, who had being managing to stay afloat for ages with a microstack, eventually bit the dust in 5th. Nick Slade went next with A-J against El Blondie's Nines, and Barry knocked out Tom Sambrook in the very next hand, rivering a flush to send the Poker Night Live star packing.

Dave had a 1.8 million to 1 million lead going into the heads-up battle, but Barry refused to be bullied around, and although was knocked down to just 750k, managed to double up with Queens against Ace Nine. After a long and protracted battle lasting nearly two levels, something eventually gave - Dave held Tc 9c against Barry's Jh 9d on a 3c 8c 9h board and all the chips went flying in. The turn was a blank 8d, but the river was the Jc, giving Barry top two pair but Dave the nut-flush, the novelty cheque and the title.

Congratulations to Dave, who became Dusk Till Dawn's second GUKPT winner, Barry, who was well overdue a big win, and all of the other finalists who helped make the final day an entertaining one. The next GUKPT event is in Brighton, see you there!
