Shadow member and EPT Grand finalist Arshad Hussain is to have his sponsorship with TGF Poker extended to another two years.

Known more informally as Ash, this brother and running buddy of Zippy Aslam is the 2006 William Hill Rankings’ Winner, fending off tough competition from the likes of Marc Goodwin, Ian Woodley, Julian Thew and reigning champion, Mickey ‘The Worm’ Wernick.

Well deserving of his ‘Bravo of the Year’ award at the Beagle Awards, Ash surprised everyone by coming in second at the 2006 EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo for an incredible €492,000. All-in on Day 2 with Threes vs. Ulriksen’s Kings, Ash Turned a set to trigger a shortstack comeback that would ultimately see him make it through to the final and just miss out on top honours to a kid who had to get up for school the next day.

Although he couldn’t contain his emotion on that hand, Ash has a highly respected reputation as a cool, calm and collective player who refrains from echoing the whooping and hollering of other players. A solid aggressive player, Ash possesses a wonderful ability to change gears and, like his brother, should be appearing on as many final tables in 2007 as he did the year prior.

Ash commented that he had a number of options but wanted to be retained by a company that had a long-term business plan. Not only will ash be representing TGFPoker.com on the poker tables, but he will also be actively involved in the training of players and development of the site.

blonde poker would like to wish Ash a big congratulations and all the best for the remainder of 2007.
