Benedetto 'DaMatrix' Passantino (pictured) tells us who won what at last night's blonde Bash 4...

Of course, the day wasn't just about money, it was also about competition.
In the £30 blonde Bash 4 No Limit Hold 'Em double chance Freezeout, I got crippled with Q-Q when I knew I was either 50/50 or behind (Villain had A-A) and then lost my first chance when my A-Ks lost to Q-J. Made a small comeback with my second chance but eventually got busted when my all-in with 3-3 was called by 5-5 with less than half the field remaining I think.
The top 3 in the freezeout were as follows...
1) Richard Hare (Chiprich) - £1870
2) Thomas Ferrari (Coco919) - £940
3) Thomas Stott (The Tank) - £590
Other finalists included Jason 'Diceman' Grace (4th), Vince 'Celtic' Caleti (7th) and the only female blondeite to make the final table, Mel 'Londongirl' O'Shaughnessy.
The Heads-Up Comp was in full swing though, and the team I was playing for, Team Value, were doing great. Since the opponent I was due to face was still in the main competition, I decided to play the Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo s&g that was just starting which in the end I won defeating blonde Bash 1 Champ Simon 'Aces' Trumper (right). No opponets for either myself or fellow Team Value member, NoflopsHomer, so we both played another PLO8 S&G which I bubbled in but NoFlopsHomer cashed. By now, TeamValue had reached the Semi-Finals of the Heads-Up Comp without me playing a single game!
In the semis we were leading 2-1. So I took on Karabiner and meanwhile NoFlopsHomer took on another opponent. If one of us won, Team Value was in the final. I built a lead from the start and then used his chips to play looser without success. In the end, Karabiner led out with a committing flop bet with a nut-flush draw on a paired flop and I re-raised all-in with an open straight willing to gamble since NoflopsHomer was in charge with his match. I lost but NoflopsHomer won his match and we were in the final with over £1,000 and trophies for our team if we won it.
I won my final match in 1 hand, re-rerasing on the 7-6-5 flop with A-7, my opponent called with Q-7. Nick 'Dino1980' Wright (right) won his match shortly after and Team Value at 2-0 up needed just one win out of the remaining 3 matches which we all seemed to be winning. Team Chorlton never gave up though and after Raiser98 and NoFlopsHomer lost, it was down to the decider, Captain v Captain, Mango99 v Claw75.
It was an epic heads-up, Matt 'Mango99' Dale (left) grinded popular blondeite Claw75 down as the pressure mounted, but when it mattered he took his foot of the pedal and let Claw back in with a series of -EV plays which ultimately resulted in Team Value's demise. Team Chorlton became blonde Bash 4 Heads-Up Champions!
