The blonde update team has been following the action from the Jury's Hotel, Dublin this Easter Weekend, as a large field consumed itself over two days until there remained just six players - these ones:

Ian Woodley

Jonathan Wong

Conor Smyth

Vince Melinn

Branden Ruane

Paul Daly

Tonight at 9pm the final six will get miked up and sit on one of those surprisingly large, brightly lit TV poker tables and play for the top prizes:

 1st  €350,000

2nd  €180,000

3rd  €100,000

4th  €70,000

5th  €60,000

6th  €50,000

But there's a difference - it will be broadcast Live on Skysports2, so if you have such technology then you'll get all the bells and whistles of commentary and hole card cameras, etc.  If not, blonde will be here to let you know the details in a sort of pseudo-live update, where we can see the hole cards and then speculate wildly on what the players could have been thinking... or we could just give you the facts straight.

One result already determined was the Paddy Power Last Longer - whereby the player (Paddy Power online qualifier for the Irish Open) who lasted longer than all other qualifiers was rewarded with a World Series of Poker prize package... and it was Pat O'Callaghan.

So far the blondes have put in a good show, for example Chili, Rumit, Joe Grech, and Nick Whiten making Day Two in shape, and Rob Yong, Stuart Fox and Ian Woodley getting considerably further than most...

Check out the live updates for some more detail of the previous days' play, or if you can't get to a TV in time.
