I am just overwhelmed at the moment with the recent poker opportunities I have been given. Having failed in my first ever TV poker event at the Ladies' UK Open, I was given a second chance at the Ladbrokes Ladies' competition a few weeks ago at Riverside studios. I feel I played well but busted out a disappointing 18th after losing a big pot with AK. Being a bit of a TV junky I was desperate to play another televised event. There is something about the atmosphere of a TV studio, all the lights and the hushed quietness. I also find myself watching the crew at work, clocking how things are being run and organised. It's all very exciting.
As the Gods would have it, I have been invited to play in yet another TV event, Mansion Poker Dome Event, and this time not in rainy London, but in the baking hot sunny desert of Las Vegas! And it won't just be against the ladies this time; there are rumours Bracelet Winner Brian Wilson will be there. I go in a week’s time and I am just bursting with excitement!
