When your low chipped in a tourney do you go all in and attempt a double through or limp in and see the flop, and if so it better to make these moves on high cards or a pocket pair?

It depends, it depends, it depends. High cards or a pocket pair are equally good but it's usually best to stick all the chips in before the flop for several reasons. a) the flop may scare you, you may pass a winning hand and waste more of your valuable low stack. b) by raising you should reduce the field, hopefully to heads up, but better still possibly reduce your opponents to none! If everyone passes, you increase your stack with no risk of elimination.
