Just looked em up and was surprised to find Farley's rusks, and Heinz Farleys rusks. WTF is that all about?
Long story, short. . .
Farleys bought by Heinz mid 90's. Rebranded as Heinz Farleys Rusks. Sales nose dived in UK. Relaunched without the Heinz in UK, Heinz version sold in rest of the world.
Everyone else in Britain must have thought WTF? too.
Great story.

It's difficult to underrate a Garibaldi.

Fig rolls, they're like marmite. Sort of.
But if you do like them, they're undeniably moreish. This photo shows the minimum number of fig rolls that can be eaten in one go:
They date back to ancient Egypt apparently.

That reminds me of a time when Ralph and I were going to some or other poker tournament in the car. Suddenly he announced, "I'm starving, we'll have to stop and eat".
I had visions of McDonald's or KFC but he pulled in to the first lay by, opened a brown paper bag containing about 5 dates, ate two of them, closed the bag and said, "Right! Let's go".

Those Medjool(sp?) dates are fantastic, big and with no added sugar unlike those cheapo boxes of "eatme" type dates.
PS My dad loved Eccles cakes.

Fig rolls are amazing!!
Eccles cakes are indeed nice but I always found there was a lot of admin involved having to chase the crumbs around the plate.
