Gaaaah - SA defenders who don't appear to have heard of marking and Mexico have one of the flappiest keepers I've ever seen. How is this 0-0.

They let about 5 Mexicans hold a little meeting at the far post for that goal.

You obv didnt watch the African Nations then.

Eurosport decided it was best for people to hear the crowd more and it was an awful lot louder than on ITV just now.

the TV feed actually has the background noise turned down

I tend to watch with the 5 live commentary alongside the pictures. Firstly its a bit less obtrusive and secondly ITV tilts me severely, the combination of Andy Townsend and Drury or Tyldeley really is horrifc. oh, and Beglin

Although it cost me a few quid I thought it was a good game to kick off the World Cup, Mexico really should have won but if you don't take your chances you don't win games. I did manage to switch off to the noise of the horns and really didn't find them annoying at all.

It didn't have any impact on today's result but Mexico's goalkeeper looks incredibly shit to be playing at this level and at only 5'8" he looks like being a real liability for them, I find it hard to believe that in a nation of over 100 million people that they don't have a goalkeeper better than him.

meh, Mexico should've prob won, but nvm. Was on DNB, so not too bad.

Agree with Maxriddles about the noise, kinda blocked it out and didnt really annoy me at all after 1st 5 mins.

Also yeah Mexicos keeper looked dodge as hell, should play Ochoa! Hes incred on Football Manager, he'd get the job done fine.

Uruguay DNB later at 7/4. Hopefully Forlan and co can get it done. France have decent players but just don't seem to get it right when playing together. Maybe they'l get it done when it counts, but i hope not.
