Good 1st from Khan. He's a front runner though. I've got faith in Canello's timing.

Absolutely savage.

Fair play to him for getting in there.

Loved his trainer goading Canelo into fighting Golovkin now, lol.

Even prior to the KO Canelo backers were printing money.

Yet more ridic cards.

Most fights are relatively easy to score yet we have joke cards every week.

Chisora was mental. Canelo scores redicoulusly wide fight after fight.

Sasha Povetkin has tested positive for meldonium a week prior to challenging WBC champ Deontay Wilder in 1 weeks time, in Russia. The WBC are the governing body who do VADA testing for all their title fights. As per the Sharapova case VADA banned meldonium at the start of the year.

On another note Lucas Browne's B sample tested positive. He's received a 6 month ban and been stripped by the WBC. Given fighters normally take 6 months between fights the ban is no more than a slap on the wrist, "we don't believe you meant to cheat but getting popped for PED's was naughty so we've got to be seen to be doing something about it."

Rabinsky (massive Russian baller turned boxing promoter) has spoken out:

Alexander Povetkin used to take meldonium in September last year, when the drug was permitted.  Povetkin has not been taking this drug since January, but theoretically meldonium could remain in the blood.

There does seem to be some ambiguity over how long it remains in the system of someone who has used it regularly for a long spell. That said 9 months would appear to be pushing the boundaries to new levels.  He should just have held a press conference and lied about having a long standing medical condition and that he didn't read his emails.  He would have been lauded for his bravery and received an outpouring of sympathy from the public. Or does that only work for attractive young blonde females?

Povetkin was clean on tests taken on 7th, 8th and 11th April and failed on 27th April. That kinda puts that argument to bed.

"Haskins is a boring horrible fighter" said Stuey Hall in this weeks Boxingnews. That's like the pot calling the refrigerator black.
