Starting at 8pm its:
McCarthy Benn Nurse Burns
Hopefully it'll be CL 1st half, Benn, CL 2nd half, no extra time, then Ricky Burns.

It's Ricky Burns fight night and I've backed him to get the job done. That's 4/11 or a little better on Betfair. And I've backed Connor Benn by decision. Keleher is a lot more respectable than the last fella whom I backed to get stopped in one round. If this ain't a complete mismatch 7/2 in a 4 rounder may wind up looking like a jolly.
In the rest of the bouts I've had a dabble on Willie Limond, I've not seen McCarthy, nor have I taken an interest in Mosley's comeback.
I've had a big bet on Burns. Lenny Daws was robbed against Di Rocco in his backyard and he is at least a couple of levels below Burns. Di Rocco is a significant downgrade on any of Burns' recent opponents at world title level. JLD has been a bit of a cash cow for me through the year but I've backed McCarthy tonight. He should have a bit more class. It's a decent enough card tonight for a change.

Bloody Betfair have suspended the McCarthy market (listed as a 6pm start). For everything to run smoothly, it'd take an employee one minute to find a running order via the Matchroom twitter feed. From the conversations I've had with them it's clear they don't employ anyone who knows shit about boxing.

Nice to see Alex Arthur ringside, Macklin too. The big question mark is over whether a certain ex-world champion will be making an appearance this weekend.

He made that look simple. McCarthy is a nice talent.

Yeah that was a classy performance. JLD is a decent yardstick. Nice shout on Benn decision. He is very very raw and can't throw the right hand properly.

This is already a lot better than the usual pish we're served up. It's also the one night we could of done with watching the footy and only tuning into the main event.

Yeah it's been good stuff tonight.
Perfect stoppage there from Loughlin. Pleasing to see he hasn't let the Blackwell injury affect his judgement.

Yeah Di Rocco even worse than I expected, and I didn't expect much.

Yeah, he was appalling. Burns did nothing wrong but he looked a jobber

Broner couldn't be bothered making weight. I'll never say a bad word about Broner or Hearn ever again. Yeah Di Rocco even worse than I expected, and I didn't expect much.
So bad it was anti climactic. Of the six 140lb fighters on the card Rocco was one of the worst.

I feel a bit dirty but I've backed Bellew tonight. Malibu obviously a dangerous puncher but I fancy Bellew to keep him at range and box his way to a decision. Hopefully he doesn't use up too much nervous energy before the fight.

Running order:
Callum Smith Sean Dodd Stephen Smith Tony Bellew
The cruiserweight division is stacked and Bellew has no chance of beating a top 10 cruiser. Or so said everyone until Makabu's last fight and his one big win found it's way onto youtube a couple of days back. This lazy son of a bitch is beatable.

It's going to be fun watching how many minutes Callum Smith decides to carry an Argentinian midget.
Lads go 1/6 on rounds 1-4. It beats joining the 1.01 Callumundo queue.
