Finally got around to watching Frost/Nixon.

Watched it all the way to the interviews, left it in sky + for later viewing! Missus deleted it!

Bought the DVD and completed it today.

Very good  film, great relationship between the 2.

7/10

Very much this. I doubt the ending would have been the same in real life though.

Just watched 'wolf on wallstreet' but I'm not actually sure how I feel about it yet. I think I enjoyed it, certainly didn't love it, but I didn't dislike it, all very meh. I'll play it safe with a 6.5/10

Please note it's 3hrs long.

I hope you found this helpful.

Edit: DiCaprio puts in an incred performance with some great speeches. Jonas Hill played his fun quirky sidekick very well. The more I dwell the more I like. 7.5/10

will review again in the morning.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Some funny bits. Comedy type family adventure movie, very easy to watch, nice little message with a few laughs along the way. 7/10.

Over half way through watching 'her' with Joaquin Phoenix (one of my fav actors), Amy Adams and Scarlett Johanson's voice. It's really interesting and defo not far off the mark. I think it was on Karl Pilkington where they showed a couple of Japanese guys who are essentially dating their Nintendo DS', this is along the same lines.. It's set in the near future and is about a guy who falls in love with his operating system. Amazingly acted so far, it's not easy to keep an audience's attention with just one actor and a voice for the most part. Only thing I don't like up until now is the use of orange in the film, the point of this might just be lost on me or it might be explained later on, either way it is sending me on tilt. Looking forward to seeing how it pans out though.

Watch the rest of that tonight then it's a flip between 'The book thief' and 'Last Vegas'. Depends what mood I am in..

Gotta love January when all the digital pirates get hold of the Oscar's screeners.

american hustle was very well acted but thought the plot was boring and predicatable.

Did you not appreciate the comedy that popped up in random places? It did go on for too long but I quite enjoyed it.

An old film now i grant you, but watches Saving Private Ryan last night.

As its not beem reviewed on the all time list on page 183, thought it should be.

10/10 of course for the review. First 20mins  arguablely the best start to any film

No, I haven't but I read the synopsis and apart from the career of the main charachter it doesn't seem too similar tbh. I will probs try to get hold of it now as I like to see if directors have paid homage to the original.

Moneyball, Million Dollar Baby and The blind side spring to mind.

If we class fighting to the death as a sport then Gladiator would be my winner. Smiley
