My money's on Kwiatkowski as well. 20/1 is a much better price than I was expecting.

But the real stand-out for me was Porte @ 11/1 for Paris-Nice. Amazing price that. Unfortunately 9/1 now that I've had my fill. Cheers for the heads-up Tonji.

Looking at P-N parcours, no ITT or summit finishes, that opens up plenty of surprises. Time bonuses become more valuable. Not sure where I'm going if anywhere on GC ante post yet.

Cant see it myself, but some shrewd French money for Cofidis rider Julien Simon, in from 100/1. Reports he is in top shape for this.

Kwiatkowski in the front group with OPQS looking strong, but Sagan still ominously present.

Bink. Nice result there, Tonji. Two questions though:

1. Why didn't I put as much money on Kwiatkowski as I did on Porte?
2. What do I do with my Kwiatkowski/Porte double?

Seriously though. That was a pretty straightforward 20/1 shot that came in, which bodes well for the rest of the season. My main problem at the moment is that I try to get too clever with my reasoning, and sometimes think myself off of the podium. Do you know what I mean?

Hope you got the lot.

Nice little earner! Got to keep it small ball to keep the accounts alive.

Kwiatkowski is the real deal, nice to see someone dishing out the pain to Sagan.

Thats the problem with cycling betting, the more in depth you look, the more variables you uncover.

P-N, any views on Betancour for GC, form seems decent, but have read he's still overweight & building to TDF?

I'm looking at Romain Bardet. Thinking AG2R have this race penciled in & will go with the young Frenchmen. 20/1 EW available, not great, but small interest investment.

hmmm, AG2R don't exactly instill confidence, Bardet & Betancur crash, & now have to chase back to peloton with 20km to go.

Now then...... this is interesting, definitely my sport, I will check back here regularly and will be having a few bet throughout the season.

FWIW - Difficult to see past Richie Porte for Tirreno-Adriatico, OK he was preparing for Paris-Nice and not this race but he will definitely have the form and the team behind him, this is the team sent there to work for Chris Froome!  Kwiatowski is an interesting contender and definitely has the form but think he may be hamstrung by split loyalties in the team.  Uran is a big new signing for Omega Pharma and this is his first proper opportunity to lead a Pro-Tour stage race so can't see it going down well if Kwiatowski assumes a leaders role.

Will also be interesting to see how Contador goes in this, he's making all the right noises that it's an important race for him and he wants to win it, but I suspect it might be too early in the season for him with bigger targets to come later in the year.
