I think he went to the post office today to get a quote on the book. Should be with Laxie before the end of next week.

Got some mags here for Reece - Mo, if you could pm me the address again (I always lose it) I will get these sent before I leave work.

Geez louise.  I was really hoping Mo wouldn't stumble onto this thread because I know how she feels in situations like this.  PLEASE don't worry about it Maureen!!!  It's as much my fault as Kev's because I've not exactly tripped over meself to follow it up with him or any of our mutual friends.  We've both been going through our own life things so I take as much responsibility for not following it up.

1)  I refused to ask for or accept the book until I paid what I owed.  Fair's fair. 
2)  I didn't get to meet Maureen until January of this year to pay what I owed.  In turn, Kev didn't even have to worry about it until then as I wouldn't accept or ask for it anyway. 
3)  I've only had a couple of quiet conversations regarding this with mutual friends since - in hopes that Kev could deliver when visiting those friends as opposed to worrying about postage costs. 
4)  Not in a month of Sundays would I accept that money back, regardless of the book.  The money was and is for Reece.  End of. 

Reece is now and always will be one of the few just about everyone on blonde agrees on.  He's a mighty wee man who's put up with a hell of a lot in his short life and deserves every penny we as a community can manage to gather for him. 

You've absolutely nothing to worry or feel stressed about and I'm sorry if you felt that way regarding this.  Don't you worry Chicka...we'll work it out.  You just worry about keeping a smile on that darling child's face.  And post lots of pics because we all love to see them!!!  xx

Me too - mostly I'm just liking blonde and enjoying the atmosphere.

I applaud the loyalty that some people have for Kev - that's what friends are for right? I hope that my friends would be as loyal to me although I would hope I would never be in the same situation.

Dishonesty gets my goat. I admit to have stolen in the past, a pen here and there and definitely time when I was employed - pretty sure we have all read blonde in work time, made calls from the work phone or done some shopping when we should have been working - that's stealing right?
 
So lets give Kev the benefit of the doubt, Cos has said he will be returning the stuff this week. Lets see. I hope he does and I will be first on the list to say "Bit late but I apologise for thinking he was going to keep them, good to have it all back."

As Cos has already said he doubts that Kev gives a shit what I think - and I don't care what Kev thinks about me, never have, so my apology is probably pretty worthless but I would still be happy to give it.

The fact that Cos has stepped back from liaising and instigating the return of the camera though makes me think he knows it isn't coming back - it's human nature to wash your hands of something and say "it's up to you guys now" when you know you are beat. And if he felt he could be involved in something that put egg on my face I think he would be right up there doing it. 

If he had complete confidence that it was coming back he would be right up there imo, arranging it's return like the long lost prodigal son, another thing sorted by the internet policeman. 

So how long do we wait before I say I told you so? What is a reasonable amount of time for the book and camera to come back. If Kev feels well enough to return the book what is stopping him return the camera too? He's had many offers for postage costs so it can't be the cost of that right?

Any sensible suggestions on what is a reasonable time?
