Excellent job Tony - nice to see your good play being rewarded.

Out of curiosity how much did you tip the dealers bearing in mind the deductions from the prizepool?

I think I'd have probably weakened and toked $25.

So true.  Felt obliged to put in 1% at the golden nugget despite the enormous rake.  To be fair, I even gave the taxi driver $50 after he long hauled me on the way home.

I never have trouble not tipping where it isn't really warranted , I just think, 'shall I give it to him or to my daughters who work long hours and probably earn less'

Nice one mate.  Excellent result, I'm surprised you didn't want to play it out for the fun element .  How often do you get a chance to win one , I'm biased though as I love the end of these especially if others are hankering for a deal.
Interested in rough stacks and blinds deal though if noted.
I'm speculating top stack got best end of it Smiley

Well done again !

The tip discussion is fun too
Every year I say to myself don't tip if cash  don't tip if cash but I always do but it's always only a token amount and prob less than years ago with all the rake increases.
My mind goes like this now , if I win in cash game unless I'm drunk I always tip $1 whether I win a $3 pot of the blinds or a $1000 pot.
So applying that to mtts I estimate number hands won and do similar.
I'm prob a tight tipper using that formula but gotta draw line somewhere.
I think I tipped $48 for my 6248 wsop cash and a bit less for my planet Hollywood ( mayb 25 or 30) similar cash as I didn't find the dealers as quick and professional .

VWP Tikay

Always a good sign to see several fresh, unread pages in the Aftermath diary.

Great updates as usual Tony.

Thought process on doing the deal ?

Personally , unless it was a huge amount , I would want to go for the win.

Looking back at Deauville EPT side event 2004 ? , I got pressured into a deal by Willie Tann.

Can't remember doing a deal since.( not had much chance though mind  Sad   )

The thrill of the win must surely outweigh a few hundred $$$$$ ?

Especially a man of your means , and age  Grin
